Friday FO and New Cast Ons

I'm so excited to report that I've finished my pair of modified Arrowhead Socks and I LOVE how they turned out and can't wait them this fall.

For this project I used two skeins of Patons DK super wash wool in the colorway Denim and a set of size US 3 DPNs.  My modification was the ribbing down the back of the sock in place of the lace design.  You can see what I did on my Ravelry project page.

Now that I'm finished with my socks, I can cast on a new project.  So, today I'm casting on Night's Watch ,designed by my dearest friend, Lara Smoot (a.k.a spinninglara on Instagram), and I will be using Anzula Squishy (80% super wash merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon) in the color Dark Matter.  I purchased this skein a few months ago while visiting my favorite shop in Prescott, Fiber Creek who was hosting an Anzula Yarn trunk show.

Such a perfect match!

I also have a skein of Alpha B - BFF B (100% Superwash Merino) Yarn in the colorway Pendleton Round-Up that I would love to use for a pair of socks.  The color yells "fall" and I'm thinking that this colorway will be perfect for a pair of Cozy Autumn Socks , pattern designed by This Handmade Life.

Another perfect match of yarn to pattern!
