Saturday Happenings ..... Spinning, Knitting and a Little Drawing

I started my Saturday morning out with a bit of spinning.  I'm really striving to spin at least 15 minutes a day.

As mentioned in my IGTV video this morning, this is spinning up nicely with a slight tweedy look about it.  It will be quite interesting to see the finished handspun and I'm aiming for light worsted, perfect for a hat or cowl.

For this spinning project I'm using my Schacht Sidekick and plan to chain ply using my Schacht Ladybug.  These wheels are so wonderful to spin on and I love them both equally.

Last Sunday I posted about my new cast on, Irish Coffee.  I'm so excited about this knit and I'm really, I mean really, loving the yarn choice. The Madelintosh Tosh Vintage is lovely to knit with and the color is scrumptious.  It's really hard to describe the color (Translation) but it is a lovely mix of denim, light blue and a undertone of turquoise.

I'm just about ready to join the yoke in the round as I have about a 2 inch "v" in the front. I think once I separate the sleeves this will be a very quick knit.

I have been enjoying my drawing and tried a drawing a little fox last week.  I used my Sakura Pigma size .01 and drew in my 5 x 7 art journal.  I really like how it turned out!

Until next time ~ be creative
